Opportunity: Community Lead for Asia Pacific

Overview

EigenLayer is an A16Z backed protocol designed to extend Ethereum's crypto-economic security to new use cases via distributed systems. The Eigen Foundation (EgF) operates as the ecosystem and governance arm of the protocol, driving its growth, sustainability, and community engagement. To further this mission, the EgF experienced Community Lead for Asia-Pacific (APAC) to lead the development and growth of EgF’s presence in key regional markets, including India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines. This role will require deep expertise in these markets and the ability to connect with diverse communities while aligning with our principles of trust, collaboration, and sustainable growth.

Position Description

In this role, you will be responsible to build and nurture a vibrant and engaged community in the region.

This role is instrumental in driving awareness, adoption, and advocacy among token holders, developers, and crypto enthusiasts, while championing the unique perspectives and opportunities in the APAC market.

As the Community Lead for APAC  you’ll shape and execute community-building strategies tailored to the region, fostering a space for collaboration, innovation, and growth in alignment with EigenLayer’s mission to revolutionize blockchain infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will connect with diverse audiences, amplify our values, and ensure the APAC community feels like a vital stakeholder in the evolution of EigenLayer. As the regional leader, you will create an inclusive, dynamic environment that supports token holders, developers and crypto enthusiasts in advancing the future of decentralized systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build Trust Across APAC: Develop a robust community strategy focused on APAC, fostering transparent, long-term relationships that align with EigenLayer’s values.

  • Own and Deliver Regional Engagement: Treat APAC community members as key stakeholders by empowering them through ambassador programs, governance opportunities, and feedback loops that integrate their voices into EigenLayer’s evolution.

  • Organize Events for Regional Impact: Host digital and IRL events such as meetups, AMAs, workshops, marketing stunts, and hackathons tailored to APACs diverse audiences, driving excitement and adoption.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with Marketing, Product, Governance, and Ecosystem teams to ensure APAC  initiatives are aligned with Eigen Foundation’s global strategy.

  • Localize Content: Own our APAC content channels and partner with content and marketing teams to create culturally relevant materials for APAC audiences, ensuring accessibility and resonance across languages and regions.

  • Empower Regional Advocates: Identify and nurture local ambassadors and influencers to champion EigenLayer, creating a network of leaders who drive community growth.

  • Measure Success: Monitor engagement metrics, community sentiment, and participation rates in APAC  to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

  • Represent APAC at EigenLayer: Advocate for the APAC community’s needs and priorities within the organization, ensuring the region remains central to EigenLayer’s global objectives.

  • Connect Ambassadors: Own the ambassador program in your region and expand its reach / impact with metrics

What You’ll Bring​

  • Proven EigenLayer passion: You want to learn more about Eigen and share to the world what it is that we are doing, pushing our mission by creating the best content possible.

  • Experience: 4+ years in technical writing, content development, or marketing copywriting for Web3, blockchain, or developer-focused products.

  • Technical Knowledge & Storytelling: Strong understanding of blockchain, Ethereum, dev ecosystems, and crypto-economics, with the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.

  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.

  • Collaboration Skills: Proven experience working with engineers, product managers, and marketing teams to align content with strategic goals.

  • Creative & Proactive Mindset: Proactively identify content needs, generate creative ideas, and ensure technical clarity throughout the editorial process.

Nice to Have​

  • Familiarity with staking and re-staking mechanisms, as well as decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms.

  • Existing connections with APAC-based KOl’s, ambassadors, or developer networks in Web3.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in community management, with at least 3 years focused on Web3 or blockchain, and direct experience in APAC.

  • Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the crypto landscape in key APAC markets, including unique user behaviors, cultural nuances, and local ecosystems.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in one APAC language, and strong English communication skills.

  • Event Management: Proven success in organizing both virtual and in-person events tailored to regional audiences.

  • Collaborative Skills: Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and technical teams to align regional initiatives with global goals.

  • Content Adaptation: Ability to localize content and messaging for diverse APAC audiences, ensuring alignment with EgF’s principles and tone.

  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to analyze metrics, identify trends, and leverage insights to optimize community strategies.

  • Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to the unique needs of APAC crypto users, with the ability to authentically engage and inspire diverse communities.
