Disclosure Regarding Lock-Up Schedules, Staking, and Related

Last Revised September 30, 2024

Lockup Schedules Applicable to Service Providers

EIGEN received from the EigenFoundation (“Foundation”) by its employees, officers, directors, dedicated full-time consultants, and advisors (“Service Providers”) will be subject to the following lockup schedule: (i) 4% of each recipient’s EIGEN will unlock on the one year anniversary of the removal of the EIGEN token contract’s transfer restrictions (“EIGEN Unlock”); and (ii) additional 4% will unlock each month thereafter, such that all EIGEN will be unlocked on the three-year anniversary of the EIGEN Unlock (“Lockup Schedule”).

Service Provider Staking on EigenLayer

The Foundation’s policies with respect to staking EIGEN and other assets and receiving any corresponding EIGEN rewards are as follows:

EIGEN Staking: Service Providers are prohibited from staking on EigenLayer any EIGEN received from the Foundation until the one-year anniversary of the EIGEN Unlock.

Other Assets Staking: Service Providers may stake non-EIGEN assets on EigenLayer (including ETH and LSTs) and receive rewards, including EIGEN, from such staking. These rewards will not be subject to the Lockup Schedule.

EIGEN Airdrops: Service Providers are (and have been) prohibited from claiming EIGEN airdrops.

Statement on Third-Party Contributors

The Foundation’s policies apply solely to the Foundation and its Service Providers. The Foundation has not entered contracts that restrict any person that may have received EIGENs, including early contributors and their investors (“Contributors”), from staking EIGEN on EigenLayer and receiving staking rewards on the same terms as any other protocol user. However, these Contributors may restrict EIGEN staking and rewards based on their own policies.

Changes in Policies

These are current Foundation policies, and they may change in the future, in which case the Foundation will update this disclosure and the Last Revised date at the top of the page.
